Setting up merchant keywords
Merchant keywords allow you to create more consistent and accurate data around the receipt merchant. By listing matching keywords for a merchant, you're telling the Receipt Stash system that a receipt from Sample Company Limited and a receipt from Sample Company actually belong to the same merchant, and we want to call them Sample Company.
Navigate to the Merchants page and open the selected merchant by clicking the green link in the Merchant Name column. This will open a window displaying the merchant detail and settings. Click on the Matching Keywords tab at the top of the window.
List any variations of the merchant name that may appear on a receipt, where you want it to match to this particular merchant.
Use the form fields to change the default settings for receipts being uploaded for that merchant. If the settings have never been updated for a merchant before, it will inherit from integration settings.
If the automatic data extraction process reads the merchant name wrong, update the receipt to the correct merchant and add the misspelling as a keyword to let the system know for future.
